Today's featured bottle for our Wednesday Break-Even Special is The Macallan Double Cask 15 Year Single Malt. This high-quality whisky is aged in two types of oak, in specially selected hand-crafted casks seasoned with dry Oloroso sherry. American oak imparts delicate flavours of vanilla, citrus and butterscotch. European oak delivers the unmistakable subtle spice of The Macallan. Together, these two distinct oaks create the perfect harmony within one exceptional single malt whisky. Once matured after 15 years, these two exceptional whiskies unite to create a distinctive single malt with a sweeter, warmer taste and character.

Nose: Dried fruit, toffee and vanilla with smooth oak and baked apple. Balanced with notes of honey and chocolate.

Palate: Sweet raisin and sultana builds with hints of vanilla, wood spice and citrus.

Finish: Warm with ginger turning to caramel and citrus, with a lingering and creamy mouth feel.
