BREAK-EVEN BOTTLE: Alipús Mezcal 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

Today’s featured break-even bottle is @mezcalalipus 20th anniversary edition. Alipús Mezcal was founded in 1999 as a project to support traditional mezcal producers, or mezcaleros. Today, they work with nine producers across Oaxaca, studying their artisanal techniques and creating a map of Oaxacan mezcals that reflects each mezcaleros unique traits, including the specific climates that influence mezcal’s soil and water. Alipús’s goal is to promote and develop awareness about traditional mezcaleros across Oaxaca, and provide opportunities for their products to reach a wider audience. This directly benefits the economic health of traditional mezcal production sites and allows them to maintain traditional methods and practices. We are excited to feature this mezcal today for just $7 per oz, one day only. Bar’s open until 10 - come on by.

Our break-even bottle is a weekly event where we select a rare or unique spirit and sell it at cost for one day only. We “break even” by selling at cost, hence the name. Most of these spirits would go in the double digits on a normal day, but not here — at least not on Wednesdays! This is a key part of our passion for making high-quality spirits accessible and ensuring our guests always have something new to try. Come by every Wednesday for a new break-even offering. 🥃
